The Ilupeju College Old Students Association (ICOSA) 1992 Set was established in June 2018 when some old students of the 1986-1992 set of Ilupeju College Ilupeju came together to forge a common goal of tracing and tracking other students of the same set. Upon the realization that a substantial number of the 1992 set of old students had been found, a meeting was called informally to establish a platform where everyone will have a community engagement for the promotion of shared knowledge and experience.
The association formally known as ICOSA ’92 Set was formed soon after in the same year with a set of individuals appointed as Protem Executive Committee led by its Coordinator, Mr. Peter Ezemoya. The Protem Exco led the Association for five (5) years until such a time when the Association was mature enough to conduct elections into elective positions.
During the Ezemoya-led Protem Executive Committee, membership of the association grew in leaps and bounds, as many old members of the 1986-1992 set joined, including many members in the Diaspora. In 2022, a well-attended thirty (30) years anniversary get-together was organized with a resounding success. It was also during this period that the constitution of the Association was drafted by a committee led by Pastor Olusoga Oluwatuyi (Oroki). After the successful adoption of the constitution in 2023, an electoral process was started that will birth the formation of a substantive Executive Management Committee of the Association.
On 29th October, 2023, the first substantive Executive Management Committee of the Association was elected. The election of the first set of elected executives ushered in a new step into the next phase in the lives of the alumni group, marking a new beginning in the history of the association. The new Executive Management Committee of the Association is led by Professor Oseni Afisi as President.
Since its inception, ICOSA ’92 Set has stood as a beacon for the promotion of shared knowledge, collaboration, and experience for the benefit of its members, and to make a significant impact on society. Additionally, it aims to connect experienced alumni with recent graduates of its alma mater to provide guidance and support as they navigate their careers.
